Michigan Cognitive Recovery Center Ribbon Cutting

Join us at Lakeshore Woods on October 1 as we celebrate the Michigan Cognitive Recovery Center with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the Birch Building, and an opportunity to meet the team.

The Birch Building at Lakeshore Woods provides a dedicated residential environment for Michigan Cognitive Recovery Center.

The Birch Building has been prepared with:

  • Accessibility improvements across 12 bathrooms

  • New sinks and refreshed bathroom finishes

  • New flooring in bathrooms and hallways

  • Dedicated areas for structured daily support

  • A residential environment designed around consistency, comfort and engagement

These physical improvements support a larger goal: creating an environment where the program’s daily routines can be followed with greater consistency.

Families, healthcare professionals, community partners, and neighbors are welcome.

What ReCODE+ means in a residential setting

The ReCODE+ For Facilities Program uses an individualized approach informed by cognitive assessment, labs, biomarkers, medical history, and multiple possible contributors to cognitive decline.

At Lakeshore Woods, the Birch Building provides a structured residential environment designed to support the daily consistency the program requires—from nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management to engagement and ongoing monitoring.

Could it be relevant?

The program may be appropriate for medically stable adults with:

  • Subjective cognitive impairment
  • Mild cognitive impairment
  • Early-stage Alzheimer’s disease

A clinical assessment is required before enrollment. Every person is different; individual results vary, and no outcome can be guaranteed.
